{Weekly Torture #3}

Sooo this week was a hard week in the picking my favorite horse that needs to be rescued. Mostly because of a few little things:

1} The Thoroughbred gelding I wanted was snatched up before the glamour shots could be posted. I reached out to the woman who bought him. She FLIPS horses. AKA buy this boy for $400 get him all checked out and train him for 30 days and then poof sell him for 5K. I'm equal parts jealous cause I'd be pretty stoked if that was my job, and equal parts pissed that I missed out on that horse.

So I missed out on him and I'm kicking myself.

2} There was a gelding and he fascinated me for some reason. We could only see his back end for the first day or so and it looked promising. Boy has a nice bootay. They posted his glamour shots and I was ecstatic, he is a ringer. Stunning Thoroughbred gelding, young, and awesome movement. All up until a previous owner informed me he was a rearer, like broke someones leg bad rearer. Deal Breaker. Don't know what a rearer is watch this:

Not on my to-do-list. So this boy is out of the running:
Ironically he even looks like the mare from the video. Unfortunately I'm passing.

3} I'm undecided now on the 2 that are left. I kind of want this big Thoroughbred gelding from another rescue. He looks to have an awesome canter and he's bay, and he's gorgeous. But they won't list an age and his feet need some work. I've got no problem putting some work into a rescue horse, heck I want to. But I also want a younger horse since I just had to retire my mare. And then there is this Saddlebred mare, she's young and pretty and has great feet. Plus she's got a wonderful blaze... the dilemma is ridiculous! So here they both are, they're my picks this week!

Yea he's a fancy boy!

Then there is this Little Lady:

And honestly, I think she may be the one. She's young and big and seems pretty sweet for the mare. She doesn't have any home offers or any money towards her bail. So come 8 pm tonight I'm going to have a tough decision. 9 pm is the cut off for all of these horses, otherwise they're slaughter bound.

To check out more of these horses check AC4H and Camelot Horse Weekly on FB.

Who would you choose???

  1. Sarah, you HAVE to get one of them! I am partial to a bay and a gelding but that mare carries herself well! Heck, get them both : )
